The Cobra Simulator is a full scale mockup of a Cobra cockpit. The heads-up displays are displayed on flat screens in the dash. The collectives and joystick controls for the pilot and gunner stations run in tandem and relay position data to the Silicon Graphics computers housed in the rear of the unit. The simulation is adaptable to other weapon systems and battle scenarios. The unit pictured above is enclosed in a sound and light dampening enclosure with the computer images being projected on an 180 degree seamless screen.
